Yes, you can skip it. Adds a nice flavor, but you do not have to add it. maybe try a bit of pesto if you have any.

Can I leave out the tomatoes? I have everything in my house to make the recipe but those. Or is there a substitute?

Yes! You can. I would freeze it after its browned and before it goes in the oven. Allow it to cool, and individually wrap them.

Some air fryers need to be preheated. But you can air fry at 375F for 18-20 minutes. If you arent sure if they are cooked thought you can check with a thermometer to make sure it reads 165. But 20 minutes should be more than enough.

Very easy to prepare with common ingredients, quite delicious!
Next time I make this, I will boil the asparagus prior to using it this recipe though- it wasn’t cooked enough and the lower parts of the asparagus was stringy which made it troublesome to eat.
